Let me tell you a bit about who I am and why I’m running for City Council.

Deciding to run was a big decision as I had just retired from civil service at the Veterans Health Administration’s Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System servicing over 100,000 Veterans located across the San Luis Obispo, Bakersfield, East Los Angeles, Downtown L.A. and West Los Angeles communities.  I promoted My HealtheVet (an online health portal like MyChart and My CS-Link) and the VA Mobile apps for the last 16 years.

My apartment building had issues with our new owners beginning in 2020 just as Covid struck.  They changed management companies repeatedly, removed our resident manager, ignored city codes and safety regulations, and fostered a climate of fear and chaos for the residents. To fight back we created a tenants association with the help of Eugene Maysky of the Coalition for Economic Survival (CES).  And with the help of the city, we not only fought, but won against our new landlord!  Many of us joined CES to maintain our tenants’ rights and ensure the new owners understand how the community of West Hollywood protects its residents.

I’m committed to Tenant’s Rights and maintaining our Rent Stabilization structure and its commitment to all residents.

Keeping our community connected through shared interests and walkable streets is my promise to you.  Your vote for me is a vote for preserving West Hollywood as a renters sanctuary surrounded by a changing pressurized world.

I’ve worked in consulting, small business planning, marketing for software and healthcare companies as well as television production for Turner Broadcasting Networks.  Many of my positions – especially working with Veterans – required interacting and communicating messages across cultural, generational and political divides and communities.

I’m running a frugal campaign: I am not accepting corporate donations.  My campaign is not wasteful – you won’t receive campaign mailers or see my face and name dotting the landscape.

I will be walking the streets of West Hollywood to meet you near your homes, shops and grocery stores.  Feel free to say ‘Hello’ as I would like to meet you and hear what you have to say.
